THE NUANCE GROUP’S PORTUGUESE JOINT VENTURE LFP FURTHER EXPANDS IN LISBON
Lisbon, February 17, 2010 – Leading Portuguese airport operator LFP has further expanded its presence at Lisbon Airport by opening a new 145 square metre “Just for Travellers” general merchandise duty free/duty paid concept in the airport’s North Pier, which exclusively serves Non-Schengen passengers. This brings the total number of shops operated by LFP at Lisbon Airport to eight.
Located just beyond the customs office, the new “Just for Travellers” offers perfume, chocolates, liquor and wine, tobacco, technology and fashion. A distinct “Just Taste Portugal” fine food shop-in-shop which occupies one of the corners invites customers to browse through a rich offer of Portuguese wines and delicatessen in a gourmet atmosphere enriched by the stories of the items.

The shop’s modern lines stand out among the light colours. The visual design bestows overall harmony whilst playing to the individual articles. The architecture is curvy and the lighting guarantees a premium presentation of the items on offer.

The range of products has been adapted to the taste of the passengers who go through this area and who are mainly heading for Brazil, Angola and the UK. A dynamic variety of promotions guarantees constant activity through new offers and unique opportunities.

Nuno Amaral, LFP’s Managing Director, said: ““This new shops shows the ability of LFP to bring new concepts alive within a strategy of creating appealing and easy experiences for the customer in a multi category shop that will inspire trial and consumption. Bearing in mind the profile of Non-Schengen passengers in Lisbon, we placed special emphasis on some brands that clearly talk to them such as Swatch and Kippling for Brazilians. Our ambition is to have travellers start their journey with us and the first results of this new shop seems to prove it.”

Following the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 13, UNICEF has asked for humanitarian aid to the victims.
