NEW PARTNERSHIP FOR THE NUANCE GROUP AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND
Zurich/Toulouse, February 1, 2007 - The Nuance Group AG and Newrest hereby announce a new partnership in the duty & tax Free market in Australasia. The two companies have reached an agreement, to be executed by the end of February, by which Newrest acquires 40% of the shares of The Nuance Group Australia & New Zealand.
The partnership will be led on behalf of the Board of Directors by Jonathan Stent-Torriani, CEO of Newrest and forthwith Vice-Chairman of The Nuance Group Australia & New Zealand, reporting to The Nuance Group’s President & CEO, Roberto Graziani. Previously CEO of Nuance Australasia between 1997 and 2000, Jonathan’s knowledge of the Group's customers, clients, staff and operations will facilitate a swift integration of the new partnership and a seamless transition for management. Christian Strang, CEO of The Nuance Group Australia & New Zealand, and his management team will report to Jonathan effective February 1, 2007.
